Student Rules Regulation

At Savitribai Phule College Of Acupuncture, we strive to create an environment that fosters respect, integrity, and a deep commitment to the art and science of acupuncture. Our rules and regulations are in place to support a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for all. Each student is expected to adhere to the following guidelines:

Professional Conduct

  • Respect: Treat faculty, staff, classmates, patients, and the campus community with respect and professionalism.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information and peer discussions, in alignment with privacy regulations.
  • Punctuality: Arrive on time for classes, clinical practice, and any scheduled meetings or appointments.

Academic Integrity

  • Honesty: All work submitted must be the student’s own. Plagiarism, cheating, or other forms of academic dishonesty will result in disciplinary action.
  • Attendance: Attend all scheduled classes, seminars, and clinical practice sessions. If unable to attend, notify the instructor in advance.
  • Assignments: Complete and submit assignments by the designated deadlines. Extensions may be requested only in exceptional circumstances and with prior approval.

Clinical Practice Standards

  • Safety and Hygiene: Follow all safety and hygiene protocols in clinical practice to ensure patient and practitioner safety.
  • Professional Attire: Wear appropriate attire for clinical practice, including any required uniforms or safety equipment.
  • Patient Care: Show empathy and respect towards patients, providing care that is professional, compassionate, and in line with traditional Chinese medicine ethics.

Campus Policies

  • Use of Facilities: Treat campus facilities, equipment, and resources with care. Report any damage or issues immediately to campus staff.
  • Substance-Free Campus: The use of alcohol, tobacco, or any illegal substances is strictly prohibited on campus.
  • Technology Use: Use computers, mobile devices, and other technology responsibly. Refrain from using phones or devices during class or clinical practice unless permitted.

Communication

  • Respectful Communication: Communicate respectfully in all written and verbal exchanges, both within and outside the classroom.
  • Feedback: Participate in course evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support the improvement of programs and services.
  • Updates: Keep contact information current and regularly check school communication channels for announcements and updates.

Disciplinary Actions

  • Violations of college rules, whether academic or behavioral, may lead to disciplinary actions, including but not limited to warnings, suspension, or expulsion. Each case will be evaluated based on its specific circumstances.
